A MESSAGE FROM OUR PASTOR

Are you busy in your service for God, yet lacking in His peace? You are not alone! Consider the burden that Moses was bearing in Exodus 18 before he received some great counsel from his father-in-law, Jethro. “The thing that thou doest is not good. Thou wilt surely wear away, both thou, and this people that is with thee: for this thing is too heavy for thee; thou art not able to perform it thyself alone.” After Jethro had given detailed instruction to his son-in-law, he then concluded with this promise: “If thou shalt do this thing, and God command thee so, then thou shalt be able to endure, and all this people shall also go to their place in peace.”
There is a key word found in that last quote which is also one of the shortest, yet most important words in the English language ... “IF”. God never intended for us to serve Him alone, for IF we do, we too will “surely wear away.” However, IF our staff and volunteers work together as a team, and IF everyone does their piece, we will not only serve Him with joy, but also with peace.
Peace by Piece is our theme for the 2011 LLC. Our goal is to challenge and share ideas with your ministry team that, IF heeded, will allow you to return home better equipped to handle your piece of the ministry with greater peace.
